EGA PRESIDENT TO VISIT RMGC

Mr Antti Peltoniemi, the current President of the European Golf Association will be attending the official opening of the Royal Malta Golf Club this Sunday, 2nd June 2013.
Mr Peltoniemi was elected into office for a period of two years starting from October 2011 after already serving a number of years on the Championship Committee and Executive Council of the European Golf Association. In addition Mr Peltoniemi is the founder and current Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Ruuhikoski Golf Club, member of the Southern Ostrobothnia Golf Association Executive, President of the Finnish Golf Union and a member of the Board of Directors of the Finnish Olympic Committee. He also has a seat on the Administrative Committee of the International Golf Federation.
Mr Peltoniemi plays off an exact handicap of 5.6 and apart from his home club he is a member of the Helsinki GC, Miklagaard GC in Norway, Moscow Country Club and the Old Course at Musselburgh Links.
Mr Peltoniemi graduated at the Helsinki University of Technology in 1983 with an MSc in Construction Engineering and obtained an MBA in 1985 from the University of Houston. He is married to Kristiina who plays off 18 and has two daughters Katarina and Sanna-Mari both in their twenties and a son Harri who at 14 years of age plays off 10.
