ANDY BORG TO PLAY IN THE BELGIAN AMATUER OPEN 2012

Andy Borg, a member of the National Squad and a member of the Royal Malta Golf Club will be participating in the above mentioned Championships that will be held at the Royal Antwerp Golf Club between the 23rd and 26th August, 2012.

Organised by the Royal Belgian Golf Federation, the format of the Championship is stroke play over 72 holes. The course measures over 6600 yards and has a rating of 73 with a slope of 125. Royal Antwerp is Belgium’s oldest golf club having been founded, like the RMGC, in 1888. The Club’s current location was established in 1902 (RMGC was established in Marsa in 1904).

The handicap limit to enter this Championship was set at an exact 2.4. We thus expect a challenging test for Andy which will also be an experience for him given his forthcoming participation in the World Amateur Team Championships.
