GOLF AT BREAST HEALTH DAY

GOLF MALTA was present at St George’s Square, Valletta on Saturday 18th October with golf being one of the sports to encourage ladies to take up a physical activity towards their well-being. The event was organised by Europa Donna Malta (Breast Care Support Group) to mark the Breast Health Day 2014.

Our golfing net (featuring for the first time the banners of the MGA, PGA of Malta and the RMGC together with those of our international supporting partners the R&A and the EGA) was ably managed by Henning together with three RMGC lady members (Ms Doreen Balzan; Ms Mary Douglas and Ms Joe Iles) to whom the MGA forwards its appreciation and gratitude for their time to support this initiative to take golf outside its usual environment.

The event was held under the patronage of the President of Malta who also stopped to have a brief chat with our Lady Captain.

The next MGA event will be the annual MGA Shield which will be held at the RMGC in a few days’ time. This year’s tournament will again be sponsored by NESCAFE Dolce Gusto and there will be a possibility for the participating members to donate towards the Community Chest Fund L-iStrina Campaign
